A luxury wedding planner in Memphis was already booked through referrals. New visitors could not tell why. We rebuilt the brand, the site, and the positioning so the website does the same work the reputation was already doing in person.

The work was already premium. The website made it invisible.

La Chérie Weddings is a luxury wedding planning studio in Memphis. The founder stayed booked through word of mouth. Events were editorial-quality and couples were deeply loyal. None of that was visible to anyone discovering the business online.

The site looked like a placeholder for a business that did not need one. There was no brand language that reflected the real experience. No visible offer structure. No way for a new visitor to understand what La Chérie actually delivers or why it costs what it costs.

The work was excellent. The website gave no sign of it.

We looked at four parts of the business: the brand, the offer structure, the path a new visitor takes, and how it shows up in search. Every one was working against the quality behind it. The distance between what La Chérie delivered in person and what the website said was as wide as any we had seen.

The brand book beneath the build.

The website is the visible layer. Beneath it sits a 38-page brand book that sets the positioning, the voice, the logo system, color, typography, photography, and the rules for putting it to work. It was built so the brand reads the same whether a couple meets the founder in person, lands on the homepage, or opens a proposal.

La Chérie Brand Guidelines and Positioning 2026 cover
The La Chérie brand book, 38 pages.
La Chérie positioning: weddings that feel deeply personal, beautifully considered, and easy to trust
The positioning, in one sentence.
La Chérie language direction: sounds like, and never sounds like
How the brand sounds, and how it never sounds.
La Chérie color system: porcelain blush, petal blush, dusty rose, warm greige, French gray, charcoal ink
Blush and neutrals, grounded by charcoal.
La Chérie founder presence: the founder is the face of the brand
The founder is the face, on purpose.
La Chérie guardrails: always and never
The guardrails, always and never.
La Chérie closing statement: the calm, creative presence that helps couples build weddings as thoughtful and personal as the love behind them
The whole brand, in one line.

Every page of the site pulls from this book, so the brand a couple feels on the website is the same one they get in the room.

What the audit found

Signal

The site read like every other wedding planner in the region. Nothing communicated what made the experience different.

Gravity

No visible services. No pricing. No tiers. The inquiry form was the only way to learn anything, and it was buried four clicks deep.

Orbit

The site looked like a placeholder. Visitors from Google had no guided path to an inquiry.

Thrust

No schema, no meta strategy, no local SEO. The business was invisible to anyone outside the referral network.

Deliverables

What we shipped.

  • 38-page Brand Guidelines document
  • Full website redesign and build
  • Brand voice and messaging framework
  • Service tier structure and pricing model
  • Portfolio gallery with editorial layout
  • Inquiry flow redesign, four clicks down to one
  • SEO foundation with schema and sitemap
  • Mobile-first responsive implementation
  • Legal compliance layer (privacy, terms, accessibility)
  • GA4 consent mode and cookie handling

The legal layer

A boutique studio, legally aligned.

La Chérie was running a high-trust business without the legal infrastructure to match. Privacy, terms, accessibility, and consent handling were missing on a site that was actively collecting inquiries. We built the compliance layer alongside the brand so the business is protected without the owner having to think about it.

  • Privacy policy tied to real data flows (forms, analytics, CRM)
  • Terms of service scoped to the studio's actual work and refund terms
  • Accessibility statement with WCAG 2.2 AA commitments
  • GA4 consent mode with opt-in cookie banner
  • Cookie policy with a visitor-facing preferences panel

Founder Perspective

Jordan took what felt overwhelming and turned it into something clear, beautiful, and genuinely easy to trust. Seeing the site come together made me feel as proud of my business online as I do when everything comes together on a wedding day. Having a clear path for couples to understand what to expect and how to get started is going to make a huge difference.
